Dave Ferro Safety Ltd. offers both the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC).
These courses are geared for anybody interested in owning and/or using firearms, and include both in-class and hands-on components.
Those who successfully complete these courses will be able to apply for a Possession and Acquisition Licence.
All firearms used in the course have been deactivated by a gunsmith and all ammunition used for instructional purposes is dummy ammunition.
The best possible learning environment
The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is intended for anybody interested in using or owning a non-restricted firearm. Most rifles and shotguns fall into this category.
First-time licence applicants must pass the CFSC before applying for a Possession and Acquisition Licence. After the in-class instruction, students are required to pass a written and practical test.
Completion of the CFSC is a mandatory prerequisite for the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC). Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)Anyone wishing to possess a restricted firearm such as a handgun or certain restricted long guns must also take the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) and pass the written and practical tests.
Completion of the regular Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is a mandatory prerequisite for the CRFSC.
